Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Nurse Instructor in Alabama to lead, develop, and coordinate the certified nursing assistant training program. You will supervise nursing assistant students, mentor junior staff, and help implement orientation and mentoring for the nurse aide program.

Responsibilities include rounding in care areas to ensure quality service, maintaining BLS and state CPR requirements, and supporting growth in long-term care education for aspiring nursing assistants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience; long-term care/geriatric preferred.
• Course in teaching adult students or experience supervising nurse aides is required.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS). CPR certification required per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, teach and coordinate the certified nursing assistant training program.
• Supervise, monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing assistant students.
• Direct and/or assist in development and implementation of nurse aide training program orientation/mentoring.
• Round in patient/resident care areas to ensure quality nursing assistant services are rendered.
