Job summary

BayCare Health System in South Florida Baptist Hospital seeks a Nurse Helper I to support nursing staff under the supervision of an RN. You will assist with basic patient care tasks and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

This role emphasizes patient dignity and clinical excellence, with responsibilities to avoid exposure to body fluids and to complete Nurse Helper training prior to orientation. Shift: Nights 6:45pm–7:15am; Pool status; BLS within 30 days; standard WELLE training

Qualifications

• Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Standard WELLE® training is required.
• Must complete Nurse Helper training class prior to orientation on the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care under the direction of the RN.
• Assist with patient care without encountering any body fluids or devices that contain body fluids.
