Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. seeks a Nurse Flow Manager to join the Department of Nursing/Procedural Services. You will support clinical practice, lead unit-based initiatives, and mobilize resources to meet patient and family needs, ensuring a therapeutic, healing environment.

Under the nurse director’s guidance, you’ll develop staff, lead clinical leadership activities, oversee staffing and assignments, and coach teams to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care across units.

Qualifications

• Current registration in nursing in Massachusetts.
• MSN or DNP preferred or BSN with master's in a related field.
• Current nursing licensure in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Provides support in the environment to facilitate excellent nursing practice.
• Promotes and supports the Department of Nursing vision, unit-based mission, values, and goals.
• Facilitates collaboration and communication across interprofessional teams.
• Participates in daily huddles/rounds for clinical consultation and problem-solving.
• Manages day-to-day staffing based on guidelines and resources.
• Oversees resource allocation to respond to census and acuity changes.
• Guides clinical staff on patient assignments with continuity of care.
• Participates in scheduling and approves staff requests.
• Performs evaluations and supports staff development.
• Develops education and training for staff and integrates teams.
