Job summary

UVA Community Health in Culpeper, VA seeks a Nurse Extern for an 8-week program. The role requires a nursing student in the last year with graduation between December 2027 and May 2028.

Schedule is 40 hours per week, Mon–Fri, on-site, following orientation, in inpatient or outpatient settings under RN supervision. Ideal candidates are enrolled nursing students nearing graduation and ready to join the UVA Health system.

• BSN students who have completed their 3rd year; ASN students who have completed their 1st year.

Education:

Currently enrolled student nurses who graduate December of 2025-May 2027. BSN students who have completed their 3rd year; ASN students who have completed their 1st year.

Students may remain employed as a Nurse Extern until graduation completion. Following graduation and board completion they will need to apply for open positions and continue through the hiring process.

The base compensation for this role is $17.28 hourly.
