Advocate Health is seeking Nurse Aide externs in North Carolina to support patient care within our hospital units. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, hygiene, and basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and students must be in good standing in an RN program with BLS certification. You will join a team dedicated to high-quality patient care, with training in ECG and venipuncture, and opportunities to learn

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RN student in good standing in accredited program.
• Junior year completed by the time of Nurse Extern start.
• Currently listed with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I and II.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Support patients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with personal hygiene.
• Take vital signs and measurements.
• Feed and ambulate patients per procedures.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Observe and report changes in patient conditions.
• Orient patients and families to unit and safety instructions.
• Perform clerical tasks: phones, data entry, and medical records.
• Maintain stock/inventory of supplies.
• Perform Nurse Aide tasks per state Board of Nursing lists.
• Administer 12-lead ECG and routine venipuncture.
