Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, North Carolina, invites applications for a Nurse Extern (PRN). You’ll gain hands-on experience alongside the nursing team, assisting with ADLs, vital signs, wound and catheter care, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• CNA Certification
• Enrolled in accredited nursing program

Responsabilités

• Providing essential care for patients by helping with ADLs, checking vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring comfort
• Performing nursing tasks like wound care, catheter care, collecting specimens, and other basic procedures as you gain experience
• Documenting care accurately and communicating timely updates with the nursing team to keep patient care seamless
• Helping patients and families understand their care plans and offering guidance for health and recovery
• Keeping patient areas clean and safe by following infection prevention practices and managing equipment
