Transylvania Regional Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, invites you to join as a Nurse Extern on a PRN schedule. You will work with the nursing team, perform foundational patient care, and observe RN duties while advancing your clinical skills.

Candidates enrolled in an accredited nursing program, with CNA certification and BCLS/NVCI per deadlines, will contribute to safe patient care and patient education. This role provides hands-on experience in a hospital setting in Brevard, NC.

Qualifikationen

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
• Enrolled in accredited nursing program

Aufgaben

• Providing essential care for patients by helping with ADLs, checking vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring comfort
• Performing nursing tasks like wound care, catheter care, collecting specimens, and other basic procedures as you gain experience and grow in your competency
• Documenting care accurately and communicating timely updates with the nursing team to keep patient care seamless and coordinated
• Helping patients and families understand their care plans and offering guidance for their health and recovery
• Keeping patient areas clean and safe by following infection prevention practices, managing equipment, and maintaining an organized environment
• Championing growth and enhancing patient care by engaging in learning opportunities and partnering with your supervisor to build your personal career development plan
