Job summary

Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay, WI is seeking a Practical Nurse Extern for the Birthing Center on the night shift. You will work under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and perform delegated nursing tasks for patients in the Birthing Center.

The role requires a practical nursing student approaching senior status from an accredited program, with preferred acute care exposure and a current BLS certification; CNA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a practical nursing student attaining senior status from an accredited nursing program.
• Prefer to have completed at least one acute care clinical, acute care theory class and a pharmacology course.
• C.N.A. experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Birthing Center.
• Perform selected and delegated nursing tasks in the care of patients in the Birthing Center.
