Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Birth Center. You will provide direct professional nursing care for maternal and newborn patients, applying nursing knowledge and critical thinking to assess status and plan care.

You will ensure a safe, therapeutic environment in alignment with department policies and organizational philosophy. The role emphasizes age-appropriate care for neonate to adult patients, with opportunities for ongoing professional

Qualifications

Current MN RN license in good standing.
BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, CPI or willingness to obtain within specified timelines.
Effective communication in English, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

Assess patient condition through observation, examination, interview, and test results.
Identify changes in patient status and respond appropriately.
Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using nursing process.
Supervise and delegate to support staff.
Administer medications and start IV fluids as required.
Perform unit-specific nursing skills (IVs, dressings, etc.).
Document patient responses and adjust plans as needed.
Educate patients and families about diagnosis and treatment.
