University of Maryland Medical System Corporation in La Plata, Maryland seeks a Registered Nurse for the Birthing Center Level 1 on the night shift. The RN will be part of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility for a group of patients, and applies nursing processes including the therapeutic use of self.

Requirements: graduation from an accredited nursing program, BSN, Maryland RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications; NCC‑EFM preferred; 1–2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing.
• BSN Required.
• Currently licensed as an RN in Maryland.
• BLS, ACLS certifications.
• NCC‑EFM preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience.

• Performs various patient tests and administers medications utilizing the nursing process.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
