UVA Health Haymarket Medical Center in Haymarket, VA, seeks a nursing student entering their last year to join as a Nurse Extern. The role involves patient care support under supervision, with 36-40 hours weekly across three 12-hour shifts following orientation.

Compensation starts at $17.28 hourly; flexibility to work day/night shifts is required to align with preceptor schedules. Open Nov 1, 2026 and closes Jan 15, 2027.

Formación

• Currently enrolled student nurses who graduate December 2027–May 2028.
• BSN students who have completed their 3rd year; ASN students who have completed their 1st year.
• Students may remain employed as a Nurse Extern until graduation completion.

Responsabilidades

• Performs a variety of patient care and administrative support functions under RN supervision.
• Assists patients with personal care for optimal recovery during hospitalization.
• Performs basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN to promote patient health and wellness.
• Maintains a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
