Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Nurse Educator to orient and educate all nursing personnel in the nursing center, ensuring safe and effective care in line with federal, state, and facility guidelines.

The role involves developing education programs, supervising new nursing staff during orientation, and performing annual competency testing. Experience in gerontology and adult learning is preferred, with strong clinical nursing skills essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
• Experience in Gerontology preferred.
• Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orientation and education of all nursing personnel in the nursing center.
• Ensure safe and effective nursing care per federal, state and facility guidelines.
• Report to the Director of Nursing and support staff through education programs.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current nursing center practices.
• Provide oversight to Employee Health Program and annual competency testing.
