Job summary

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a Unit-Based Nurse Educator to support the SICU and Cardiothoracic ICU. This role partners with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver orientation, ongoing education, and competency validation in a high-acuity environment.

You will teach advanced therapies and technologies such as IABP and Impella, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

• BSN required and active RN license in Massachusetts.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of cardiac specialty nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate nurse orientation and education for SICU and CT ICU.
• Coordinate annual education requirements and competency validation.
• Provide education on advanced cardiac therapies and devices (IABP, Impella).
• Support regulatory compliance and quality initiatives.
• Serve as clinical/educational resource for frontline staff.
