Job summary

Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center in Culpeper, VA is seeking an experienced Nurse Educator (RN) to lead our Virginia Board-approved nurse aide training program. You will guide classroom instruction, skills labs, and supervised clinical experiences to prepare students for compassionate care.

The ideal candidate has active Virginia RN licensure, 2+ years of nursing, with LT care experience preferred, and completes a Train-the-Trainer course.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN licensure in Virginia.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved Train-the-Trainer course or willingness to complete prior to start.
• Familiarity with OBRA requirements and nurse aide training standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical instruction using the Virginia Board of Nursing-approved nurse aide curriculum.
• Educate, mentor, supervise, and evaluate nurse aide students throughout the program.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans, attendance records, student evaluations, skills documentation, and other required program records.
• Create an engaging, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure students demonstrate competency before performing skills in the clinical setting.
• Maintain compliance with Virginia Board of Nursing requirements and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with center leadership and nursing teams to connect classroom learning with high-quality, person-centered care.
• Serve as a professional role model and help students successfully transition into healthcare careers.
