Summary of Job Duties:

The Nurse Educator will work within the Family Medicine Clinic to promote an Evidence-Based program focused on Patient and Family Centered Care. Responsibilities include developing clinical strategies for Well Child Checks (0-5 years), coordinating care transitions for pediatric patients, and overseeing Community Health Worker calls for patient follow-up. The role involves collaboration with nursing staff and supporting the Family Medicine Residency with pediatric and prenatal education. The position is located in Texarkana, AR.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an associate degree and 7 years of educator/RN experience OR BSN in Nursing with 5 years of educator/RN experience
  • One year of clinical experience
  • Valid Arkansas Registered Nursing license
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Valid AR driver’s license, insurance, reliable vehicle for occasional travel
  • Personal cell phone
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Proficiency in program management software and EHR systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Marshallese
  • Pediatric/prenatal care experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote screenings, early identification, and clinical navigation for children prenatal to 5 years
  • Supervise Community Health Worker providing clinical navigation and health education
  • Collaborate with clinic team to ensure project goals and health equity
  • Coordinate referrals and support services for pediatric patients
  • Document services and support quality improvement
  • Provide training and professional development
  • Participate in meetings and trainings
  • Maintain professionalism and technical competency

Develop and manage relationships:

  • Coordinate communication with community stakeholders
  • Support clinic’s Patient Family Advisory Council
  • Build and manage relationships with external partners
  • Track and report program deliverables
  • Identify barriers and resolve issues to meet program objectives

Support culturally adapted services for the community
