Summary of Job Duties:
The Nurse Educator will work in the Family Medicine Clinic to implement an Evidence-Based program focusing on Patient and Family Centered Care. Responsibilities include developing clinical strategies for Well Child Checks (0-5 years), coordinating pediatric care transitions, overseeing Community Health Worker calls, collaborating with staff and the residency program, and providing pediatric and prenatal education. The role involves clinical encounters, team participation, and supporting community health initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an associate degree and 7 years of experience as an educator/instructor or RN, or BSN with 5 years of experience.
  • One year of clinical experience.
  • Valid Arkansas RN license.
  • Current BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days.
  • Valid AR driver’s license, insurance, reliable vehicle, and occasional out-of-state travel.
  • Personal cell phone required.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in program management software and EHR systems.
  • Ability to evaluate health risks and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of community health principles, care coordination, and health education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Marshallese.
  • Pediatric/prenatal care experience.
