Job summary

Forks Community Hospital is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead clinical education and competency programs for the nursing staff in our facility.

The role focuses on coordinating orientation, preceptor development, regulatory education, and ongoing staff education to maintain high-quality patient care. Requires RN license in WA; BSN/MSN preferred; BLS required with ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC/ENCC within timeframe.

Qualifications

Job description

The Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating clinical education and competency programs for nursing staff. This position supports staff development, regulatory and organizational education requirements, clinical competency validation, new employee orientation, preceptor development, and ongoing clinical education.

The Nurse Educator serves as a clinical resource and education leader for nursing and may provide education and competency support to other clinical departments as appropriate. The position promotes safe, evidence-based practice and helps ensure staff maintain the knowledge, skills, certifications, and competencies necessary to provide high-quality patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington. BSN/MSN preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Experience:

Minimum of [3] years of clinical nursing experience preferred. Emergency Department, Acute Care, or other high-acuity experience preferred. Previous experience in staff education, preceptorship, competency validation, or clinical instruction preferred.

Certifications:

Current BLS required. ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and ENCC required or obtained within an established timeframe.

SALARY:

$53.79-$75.31 DOE

SHIFT:

Sun-Sat, 8 hour shifts, 0.5 FTE
