Job summary

UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM seeks a unit educator and master preceptor to advance nursing education on the PreOp/PACU unit. You will model evidence-based practice, oversee clinical instruction for CON students, and help staff integrate nursing processes into patient care.

This full-time day-shift role requires BSN or MSN, RN licensure in NM, and at least 18 months of related experience, with CPR/BLS, ACLS, and other credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required for the role.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• 18 months directly related RN experience required.
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days.
• RN licensure in NM or via reciprocal agreement by NM.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient safety policies, procedures and protocols.
• Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care.
• Develop patient plans of care incorporating evidenced-based research.
• Consult with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
• Educate staff on new equipment and in-service training.
