Job summary

UNMH is seeking an experienced Nursing Educator to function as unit educator, master teacher, and preceptor, facilitating evidence-based research and nursing processes on a specialized unit. The role includes assisting in staffing, educating students from the College of Nursing on the home unit, and ensuring policy adherence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required; BSN or MSN preferred.
18 months directly related nursing experience required.
Advanced cardiac life support and CPR certifications preferred/required per policy.

Responsibilities

Act as unit educator, master teacher, and preceptor.
Lead evidence-based practice discussions on the unit.
Incorporate nursing processes into patient care plans.
Educate staff and students from the College of Nursing on the home unit.
Assist in staffing on the unit while maintaining clinical skills.
Ensure adherence to hospital and department policies and safety standards.
Develop curricula and deliver in-service training as needed.
Collaborate with Clinical Educator, CNS, and Unit Director on educational initiatives.
