Job summary

CaroMont Health seeks a Nurse Educator for IMCU, MSICU, High Acuity Float Pool and 3 Central on the CRMC Belmont Campus to lead nursing education and staff development across critical care units.

The RN educator will design orientation and competency programs, integrate evidence-based practice, and collaborate with nursing colleges, ensuring ongoing staff development and excellent patient care. 40-hour week, on-site role.

Qualifications

• BSN required with at least two years of clinical experience in related area; progressive or critical care experience preferred.
• RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state/compact license) required.
• National Nursing Specialty certification required or obtained within 18 months of hire.
• Demonstrated work experience and competency in nursing staff development.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in adult education.
• Prior experience in educator role preferred.
• Current knowledge of general and advanced nursing principles, adult education principles, methods, and techniques.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Educator (RN) teaches nursing and patient care at department and organizational levels to align with mission and goals.
• The Nurse Educator (RN) designs and implements education for nurses and nursing staff, including orientation, continuing education, competency development and development or revision of nursing guides.
• The Nurse Educator (RN) integrates evidence-based practice into program development.
• Responsible for outcomes of education programs.
• Collaborates with approved nursing colleges and universities for departmental/unit clinical experiences.
• Availability: 40 Hours a week
• Shift: 8am-5:30pm
• Office location: Will be required to go to share time at Belmont campus

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) with m inimum of two years clinical experience in related area required. Requires progressive or critical care experience.
• Registered nurse (RN) license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state/compact license) required.
