Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator – Critical Care to lead education for Critical Care units. The role emphasizes bedside education, staff development, and hands-on support to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The educator will coordinate onboarding, develop educational materials, and collaborate with system-wide nurse leaders to standardize practices. BSN is required; MSN preferred, with active RN license and CC experience.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; graduate degree preferred; MSN preferred.
• Current RN license is required.
• Critical Care nursing experience is required.
• RN professional certification in a relevant specialty is required within six months of hire.
• Previous education, precepting, or mentoring experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.

What We Offer

Clinical Nurse Educator – Critical Care

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Clinical Nurse Educator – Critical Care is a key member of the clinical education team and supports the ongoing development of nursing staff within the Critical Care units. This role promotes clinical excellence through education, mentorship, and staff development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide education and training to Critical Care nursing staff.
• Lead new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Develop and update educational materials and learning resources.
• Mentor and support new graduate nurses and staff members.
• Round on the units to provide bedside education and clinical support.

• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
