Job summary

Westchester General Hospital is seeking a Nurse Educator to support direct patient care while leading education, competency validation, and professional development for nursing staff. The role includes conducting orientation, coordinating staff education programs, and teaching BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Telemetry courses to improve patient safety and care quality.

The position emphasizes collaboration with interdepartmental teams, adherence to hospital policies, and ongoing performance improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current and active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Telemetry competency required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing orientation and staff education programs.
• Delivers instruction in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Telemetry Technician courses.
• Conducts daily rounds and provides clinical guidance to nursing staff.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains documentation protocols and participates in PI activities.
• Assists in training of new personnel and ensures compliance with hospital policies.
