Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a Nurse Educator to assist in planning, implementing and evaluating learning experiences across classroom, clinical, and simulation settings. You will guide students, promote program development and demonstrate professional nursing behaviors.

The role requires RN licensure in New Jersey, a Master of Nursing, and 2+ years teaching experience with at least 3 years as an RN. Prior HIPAA and compliance knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience preferred; 3+ years as an RN
• Master of Nursing degree required; EdD/PhD preferred
• RN licensure in New Jersey required; BLS required

Responsibilities

• Adheres to compliance policies including HIPAA and Virtua Health Code of Conduct.
• Facilitates learning in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings using evidence-based teaching strategies.
• Provides student advisement and counseling to support professional goals.
• Builds collaborative relationships with faculty and clinical partners to promote positive learning environments.
• Evaluates student learning and provides timely, constructive feedback to learners.
• Plays a leadership role to promote innovative educational practices and ongoing professional development.
• Maintains up-to-date professional practice knowledge to help learners prepare for contemporary nursing practice.
