Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse Educator to lead clinical competency programs, assess staff performance, and promote continuous learning across our facilities in Georgia. The role emphasizes preceptorship, annual merit-like education enhancements, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The Educator will design and deliver education, coordinate competency assessments, and collaborate with unit managers and DHS to identify learning needs and implement training plans.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university; RN program completion.
• Current and unrestricted RN licensure in state of practice; CPR (BLS) certification.
• Within 6 months of hire, completion of organizational trainings: IV, Pain Management, Wound Care, Respiratory Care, CCC; 12 months: AHA CPR Instructor.
• Minimum qualifications include CPR Instructor preferred and certification by nationally accredited nursing organization (e.g., Gerontological Nursing, CRNI, or CNE).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinical competency assessment and training needs based on evaluation and patient acuity.
• Provides education on topics to develop clinical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Participates in interview and selection of clinical staff.
• Completes initial competency assessment during orientation, annually, and as needed.
• Identifies preceptors and oversees the preceptor program to maintain standards.
