NorthWest EMS is seeking a Nursing Educator for Heritage Valley Beaver in Beaver, PA. The role focuses on elevating nursing practice by educating staff and supporting policy development to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Requirements include a BSN, PA RN license, BCLS, ACLS within 6 months of hire, and at least 5 years of acute care experience. Clearances must be completed within 90 days. Master’s degree preferred; strong writing and computer skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Current Pennsylvania license.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
• BCLS.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire into position.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances within 90 days of commencing employment.
• Master Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and strong writing skills.

Department: Nursing Professional Practice Nursing Education
Work Hours: Mainly M-F daylight, but occasional off shift and weekend required.

Raises the standards of nursing clinical practice to achieve quality patient outcomes by providing for the educational development of the nursing staff. Participates in the development of policies, procedures, standards of care, protocols and guidelines particularly in the areas of their specialty assignment.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing. Current Pennsylvania license. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. BCLS. Minimum 5 years clinical experience in an acute care setting. ACLS within 6 months of hire into position.

Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Master Degree in Nursing or other related healthcare field. Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards, Department of Health regulations and other regulatory agency requirement. Proficient writing skills. Computer proficiency.
