Job summary

Genesis Healthcare is seeking a Market Nurse Education Specialist to lead and coordinate clinical education across our SNFs in your market. You will design education strategies, deliver programs, and ensure compliance with regulations while promoting a culture of continuous learning.

You’ll mentor Nurse Practice Educators, oversee onboarding and competencies, travel to facilities, and stay current with regulatory changes to support safe, high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• RN license by the State Board of Nursing is required.
• MSN required.
• Certification in a specialty area is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five (3) years full-time or equivalent clinical experience in education is required; two years in Long Term Care / Post-Acute Care.

Responsibilities

• Lead Educational Strategy: develop and implement standardized clinical education strategies to improve outcomes and competency.
• Program Delivery: coordinate and deliver comprehensive clinical education programs including orientation, annual competencies, and targeted skills training (e.g., wound care, infection control, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring).
• Needs Assessment: identify educational gaps and develop curricula addressing staff development needs.
• Competency & Compliance: monitor staff competency and ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
• Quality Improvement & Support: analyze outcomes and support facilities in survey readiness and corrective action planning.
• Team Leadership & Coaching: mentor Nurse Practice Educator(s) to build a high-performing education team.
• Policy Implementation: support corporate clinical policies and quality initiatives.
• Collaborative Leadership: work with Market Clinical Advisor and Directors of Nursing to promote consistency in operations.
• Travel: routinely travel across facilities to provide on-site education and oversight.
• Stay Current: maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in post-acute and long-term care nursing.
