Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare in Ogden, Utah, seeks an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to guide caregivers in orientation, ongoing learning, and clinical coaching. This role uses adult learning principles and promotes interprofessional collaboration to improve patient care.

The NPD Practitioner will partner across care areas to develop curricula, assess learning needs, deliver orientation, and mentor preceptors.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program and an RN license required.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Experience in adult or staff development in a clinical setting.
• Ability to apply adult learning principles and curriculum design.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates on-boarding and ongoing learning for caregivers and preceptors.
• Applies educational design and adult learning principles to address learning gaps.
• Collaborates across care areas to ensure evidence-based nursing practice.
• Coaches and mentors clinical staff to improve patient outcomes.
