Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to lead education for ambulatory clinic staff. This role uses educational design to bridge gaps, develops outcomes, plans activities, and ensures practice improvement through evidence-based methods.

You will mentor teams, support interprofessional learning, and advance the NPD specialty within the university's Accredited Provider Unit, reporting to the Education Manager.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field within 3 years of hire.
  • 3 years of related experience in hospital/clinic settings.
  • RN license and Basic Life Support required at hire; NPD certification within 1.5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Learning facilitator to bridge knowledge gaps identified by needs assessment.
  • Change agent improving processes across micro-, meso-, and macro-systems.
  • Mentor supporting professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Leader influencing interprofessional practice and nursing education.
  • Advocate for nursing professional development as a specialty.
  • Partner for practice transitions across learning and clinical environments.
