Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Nursing Education Program Specialist to implement and evaluate education plans across departments, collaborating with leadership to drive evidence-based practice and professional development. The role focuses on onboarding, residency, preceptorship, and ongoing education to improve patient outcomes and align with system nursing strategies.

Required RN licensure and a BSN; Masters preferred. Travel between facilities up to 10% may be expected.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN or related master's degree preferred.
• RN licensure from an accredited program required.
• Experience in professional development or nurse education.
• Knowledge of ANCC Magnet or Pathways to Excellence programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement system nursing education and professional development programs across departments.
• Support evidence-based practice and nursing research efforts.
• Coordinate orientation, RN residency, and preceptor programs.
• Utilize learning theories and adult learning principles in program delivery.
• Monitor and report performance on education initiatives related to KPIs and nursing outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure regulatory and accreditation requirements are met.
