Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist to develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate education and competency programs for nursing and nursing support staff. You will align activities with standardized functions and ensure high-quality educational processes.

The role requires a BSN, 3+ years of clinical nursing experience, strong communication, and teaching skills, plus Nebraska or compact-state RN licensure and AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years current applicable clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• BSN required.
• Ability to plan development activities that impact outcomes and performance.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to instruct and collaborate with others.
• Ability to solve complex problems through a structured approach.
• Knowledge of systems and change theory, teaching and learning principles.
