Job summary

Palisade Healthcare Center, part of Evergreen Healthcare Group, is seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator Nurse to administer, plan, develop, evaluate, coordinate and educate all facilities staff programs.

Requirements include current RN or LPN licensure in the state, plus at least one year of experience planning and directing adult nursing education. The role supports ongoing education and staff development in a geriatric care setting.

Qualifications

• Requires current RN or LPN licensure in the state of employment.
• Minimum one year experience planning and directing educational programs for adults in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates training needs and provides recommendations to ED and DNS.
• Implements center policies and education for nursing staff.
• Plans annual education program schedule for the center.
• Maintains education records, attendance, and performance for staff.
• Maintains individual education profiles for nursing employees.
• Teaches center safety policies to nursing staff.
• Obtains continuing education relevant to geriatric nursing.
• Identifies problems, reports objectively, and takes corrective action.
