Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an LPN Staff Development Coordinator to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service education in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

The role requires an active LPN license, nursing diploma, and preferred geriatric nursing and teaching experience. CPR certification is required either at hire or during orientation and must remain current.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license in good standing.
• 1 year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Teaching/education experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation and must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, direct, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate staff training, education, in service, and orientation.
• Maintain associate training and in service records.
• Perform functions of a staff nurse as required.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
