Job summary

Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks an experienced registered nurse to join the clinical team. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, collaborate with physicians and staff, and uphold LifeBridge’s patient care standards.

The role requires a BSN, 1–3 years of nursing experience, and Maryland RN licensure or eligibility, with BLS/CPR. You will participate in nursing education, precept new staff, and contribute to policy development while focusing on patient

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical team to ensure quality patient care and efficient delivery.
• Develop, implement, and present educational and patient care programs using the nursing process.
• Coordinate preceptor assignments and provide clinical guidance; serve as a preceptor as needed.
• Oversee staff assignments and monitor work of designated personnel.
• Act as clinical resource for nursing staff and physicians on practices and concerns.
• Maximize patient flow and use of patient templates.
• Attend divisional and advisory committee meetings as an active member.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care with emphasis on safety.
• Contribute to developing and revising clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Orient and train staff on revised policies; act as advisor and leader.
• Contribute to in-service training and development of teaching tools and office policies.

Job description

• Performs in collaboration with appropriate clinical personnel, participates in the coordination of clinical practice activities in the office through the development and implementation of educational and orientation programs and clinical problem solving. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient. Works in partnership with other staff members and physicians to proactively identify and provide for patient needs in accordance with LifeBridgeHealth customer service standards and expectations along with The Joint Commission's standards and expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works as a collaborative member of the clinical team to ensure quality clinical services and patient care operations. Initiates communication resulting in efficient delivery of patient care.
• Participates in the development, implementation and presentation of ongoing educational and patient care programs utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinates assignments of preceptors for new personnel and provides clinical guidance and support as needed. Serves as a preceptor when required.
• Oversees and participates with assignments and monitors work of designated staff.
• Serves as clinical resource person to nursing staff, physicians, and other health care team members with regard to nursing practices/techniques and issues of concern.
• Works to maximize patient flow and utilization of the patient templates.

• Assists in formulating, evaluating and revising guidelines for clinical practice, policies, procedures, protocols, etc.

• To function as advisor, resource, and leader for patients and members of the patient care team.
• Participates in conducting in-service training programs for nursing staff and other health care professionals as required.
• Assists in development of teaching tools and office policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR

Range $40.12-$62.19 based on experience and internal equity
