Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Nurse Consultant I to license and certify health care providers and suppliers under State Licensure and Medicare/Medicaid programs. You will conduct standard surveys and investigations to ensure compliance, covering hospitals, clinics, and other licensed facilities in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

This role requires nursing licensure in NC and a year of related experience; on-site work with regulatory

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques including the nursing process.
• Knowledge of health care organization and management principles, state licensure rules, and federal standards.
• Intermediate computer skills: Windows XP Pro, MS Office, data management and electronic work.

Responsibilities
