Job summary

Montana State University seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing services to MSU students, including evaluation, triage, and initial intake per protocol, plus nurse advice via phone. The role supports Student Health Services within the Division of Student Success.

The position reports to the Nurse Manager, is 1.0 FTE, on-site at the Student Wellness Center, and starts at $37.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Montana.
• Recent professional nursing experience in a primary care setting (e.g., primary care offices, urgent care, student health).
• Demonstrated experience with diagnostic equipment such as EKG and spirometry.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatments and procedures including injections, wound care, suture removal, ear lavage, spirometry, minor surgery assistance, EKGs, and orthopedic device fitting.
• Provide immunization administration and travel health guidance.
• Provide discharge planning and patient education.
• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling follow-ups and charting in the EHR.
