Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• NIHSS training can be obtained through various organizations and learning systems that offer courses from the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of health care delivery systems, nursing process, and concepts of case coordination.
• Knowledge of hospital information systems and patient care applications.
• Knowledge of principles of adult learning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams effectively.
• Ability to develop solutions to problems and lead staff through change.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates the operations of the patient care area for the shift.
• Applies nursing process and evidence-based practices in patient care.
• Assigns patient assignments to RNs, CNAs, and other team members.
• Participates in hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes for team members.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives and ensures competency-based care.
• Provides leadership in coordinating interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Models current leadership techniques and fosters staff development.
• Ensures staff communication is clear, concise, and effective.
