Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• NIHSS training available through various organizations.
• Knowledge of care delivery systems, nursing process, and case coordination.
• Knowledge of hospital information systems and patient care applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Assigns patient assignments to RNs, CNAs, Nurse Externs, and other team members.
• Coordinates patient care using Relationship Based Care and unit-wide planning.
• Leads recruitment, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes for unit staff.
• Supports quality outcomes and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Ensures nursing practice complies with Florida Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
