Job summary

The TemPositions Group is seeking a NYS-licensed Registered Nurse to join our team supporting persons with developmental disabilities. You will work with the Interdisciplinary Team to coordinate routine and specialty health services, assess outcomes, and maintain comprehensive health profiles.

You will communicate health information across teams, families, and external providers, document progress, and ensure compliance with agency standards.

Qualifications

• NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior nursing experience and/or experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel across the metropolitan area.
• Flexible hours/days; comply with all laws, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates delivery of routine and specialty health care services.
• Assesses health outcomes and maintains health care profiles.
• Liaises health information among team members, families, and providers.
• Completes required documentation and charts progress.
• Evaluates preventive/ongoing care and referrals as needed.
• Conducts health trainings for staff and clients.
• Supervises staff on health care treatments and on-site training.
• Provides on-call coverage and may go on-site as needed.
• Ensures compliance with medical standards and agency policies.
• Participates in IDT, Day Program, Human Rights and other meetings.
• Performs surrogate packets, incident reports, and policy development.
