Job summary

NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities seeks a registered nurse to conduct nursing assessments, prepare and adjust care plans, administer medications, and monitor health status. You will work with a treatment team to coordinate care and ensure compliance with state requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must have a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
  • Experience providing nursing care and coordinating with treatment teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts nursing assessments, records health information and vital signs using standard instruments.
  • Prepares and modifies nursing care plans; administers medications and nursing procedures as prescribed.
  • Monitors symptoms and health status; reports changes to the care team.
  • Provides health teaching and develops health improvement programs.
  • Implements infection control procedures and maintains documentation.
  • Provides supervisory instruction to nursing staff and coordinates care with other providers.
