Position Summary:

With the direction of the Nurse Manager, and in collaboration with other members of the Patient Care Team, Nursing Assistants assist with the direct day-to-day care of patients and families. Performs a variety of non-patient care duties. Responsible for providing and maintaining positive interactions with every patient/family/visitor they encounter. Provides care specific to ages and development needs of patients, adults, geriatric, and adolescents.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Required: High school diploma or GED. Completion of Nurse Aide Program or experience in a related field. Two years’ experience as a nursing assistant/PCA. Basic Life Support or acquired within 3 months of hire, dysrhythmia within one year of hire.
  • Preferred: Two years of acute care experience, experience post-acute.
