The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under supervision. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles, practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, and uses appropriate standards related to residents' physical and psychosocial needs. Performs testing, recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively in emergencies. Ensures residents' health, comfort, and safety, administers medications/treatments, documents interactions, and collaborates with healthcare team members. Counsels residents and families, and develops self-care programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
