Job Details

Support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanent address.

Additional Compensation:

• $5 per hour float premium
• $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 pm - 6:00 am)

Requirements:

• Work at least 30 hours per month
• Work at least one weekend rotation per month
• 3 months of previous experience in Long Term Care required; 6 months preferred

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under supervision. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles, practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, and uses appropriate standards related to residents' physical and psychosocial needs. Performs testing, recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively in emergencies. Ensures residents' health, comfort, and safety, administers medications/treatments, documents interactions, and collaborates with healthcare team members. Counsels residents and families, and develops self-care programs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred
• If IV therapy is required in North Dakota, completion of a Board-approved AASPN program or equivalent
• Minimum of 400 hours of clinical experience or equivalent experience as an LPN
• Unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing Board or multi-state licensure privileges
• Maintains required competencies, certifications, and continuing education
