Job summary

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking caring and compassionate caregivers for multiple opportunities in NW Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties. You will provide companionship, assist with ADLs, and help with daily activities, meals, and errands in clients’ homes.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of PCA experience, completion of a state-approved PCA/Nurse Aide course and a valid driver’s license. CPR is recommended. Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of Personal Care Assistant experience.
• Completed state-approved Nurse Aide or PCA course.
• CPR certificate recommended.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to clients.
• Assist clients with ambulation.
• Prevent client falls through safety and supervision.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Prep/cook meals for clients.
• Drive clients to doctor’s appointments/ errands/ activities.
• Light housekeeping.
• Help client meet nutritional standards.
• Perform homemaking duties (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms).

Education

High school diploma or GED

Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant

State-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course

Current CPR certificate recommended

Read, write, speak and understand English

Valid driver’s license and insured automobile

Compensation: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
