Job summary

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking caring caregivers to serve NW Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties. Join a team that values compassion, reliability, and safety while providing companionship, help with ambulation, ADLs, meals, transportation, and light homemaking in clients' homes.

We offer flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, travel-time reimbursement, referral bonuses, and paid training. Compensation is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required or preferred.
• Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare settings.
• State-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course completed.
• CPR certificate recommended for safety.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to clients.
• Assist clients with ambulation and daily activities.
• Prevent falls through safety and supervision.
• Prepare and cook meals for clients.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Light housekeeping and homemaking tasks.
• Support client nutritional needs.
• Perform homemaking duties such as vacuuming and laundry.

Caregiver Responsibilities Include :

• Provide companionship to clients
• Assist clients with ambulation
• Prevent client falls through safety and supervision
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Prep/cook meals for clients
• Drive clients to doctor's appointments/ errands/ activities
• Light housekeeping
• Help client meet nutritional standards
• Performs homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.

Qualifications

1. High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
2. Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
3. Successful completion of state-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course.
4. Current CPR Certificate is recommended.
5. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
6. Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile.

Compensation: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
