Job summary

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide companionship and in-home support in NW Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping, driving to appointments, and ensuring client safety.

Qualifying candidates have at least six months of caregiving or CNA experience, complete state-approved PCA coursework, a valid driver's license, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
• State-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course completed.
• Valid driver’s license and have use of an insured automobile.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to clients.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with ambulation and safety supervision.
• Prep/cook meals for clients.
• Drive clients to doctor's appointments and errands.
• Light housekeeping and homemaking tasks (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning).

Caregiver Responsibilities Include :

• Provide companionship to clients
• Assist clients with ambulation
• Prevent client falls through safety and supervision
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Prep/cook meals for clients
• Drive clients to doctor's appointments/ errands/ activities
• Light housekeeping
• Help client meet nutritional standards
• Performs homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.

Qualifications

1. High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
2. Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
3. Successful completion of state-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course.
4. Current CPR Certificate is recommended.
5. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
6. Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile.

Compensation: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
