Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the MG1 Step Down unit. This full-time role supports direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.

You will assist with patient feeding, intake/output, specimen collection, and safety rounds on a 26-bed unit that handles trauma, bariatric and stroke patients. A CNA or clinical rotations plus BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• PA CNA registry or completion of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program required.
• 1 year of relevant experience or EMT certification accepted in lieu of required certification/clinical rotation.
• BLS Required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under RN guidance.
• Obtain supplies to assure rooms are ready for admission and cleared when discharge/transfer occurs.
• Assist with feeding and monitor intake/output; follow dysphasia precautions.
• Collect specimens (urine routine, clean catch, foley, stools for c-diff).
• Apply heat/cold packs, ace wraps, slings, binders and protective/orthopedic devices.
• Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient safety and comfort.
• Seek RN Manager assistance for conflict resolution.
