Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Port Huron, MI is seeking a patient care teammate for 4 South Cardiac Step Down. You will assist RNs with daily patient care activities, maintaining a safe, clean, and compassionate environment for patients and families.

The role emphasizes adherence to HIPAA/OSHA, patient comfort, and practical support for daily activities. Requires a high school diploma, 6 months of related experience, and BLS certification. Full-time schedule includes day shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.
