Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver quality care using the nursing process. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team, directing and coordinating activities to support patient and family centered care, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and professional standards.

The position is based in the 4 S Cardiac Step-Down unit with part-time hours, regular 7:00am–7:30pm shifts, and a schedule that includes on-call duties and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
