McLaren Health Care is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Medical-Surgical unit for night shifts (7pm-7:30am). The role involves direct patient care under RN supervision, personal assistance with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, compliant care environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, state CNA certification, at least 1 month of related experience, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, contributes to the delivery of patient-centered care through: Performance of selected day-to-day patient care activities. Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Interacts with patients considering their developmental, age-specific, and cultural spiritual preferences.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant.
• One month of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred

• One year of experience in a medical setting.
