Job summary

UPMC Jameson is hiring a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician for the 3200 Orthopedic Surgical Team in Delaware. This full-time role involves three 12-hour night shifts per week and works within a dedicated unit to support patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring vitals and glucose, performing specimen collection, and reporting changes to the RN, while maintaining documentation and teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care including assisting with ADLs and activities of daily living.
• Performs nursing core tasks: blood glucose, weights, vital signs, I&O, specimen collection, Foley care.
• Communicates with RN and other departments about patient status.
• Assists with phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG, simple dressings, IV catheter removal as needed.
• Documents in the medical record and supports unit activities.
