Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is hiring a Resident Aide-Nurse Aide Trainee in New York. You will complete classroom training and clinical studies to pass the NYS Nurse Aide Training test to become a Certified Nurse Aide.

You will support nursing staff, assist with resident admissions, and maintain care standards while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality across shifts. This is a hands-on role with in-service education and a focus on teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Minimum 1 year previous long term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Home and the Nursing Department in performance of care as a member of the team.
• Provide care to residents assigned under supervision of NATP Coordinator/Clinical Supervisor.
• Assist in maintenance of care standards.
• Carry out assigned tasks in admission of the resident to a new environment and give care as directed.
• Contribute to resident teaching by performing procedures and observe new procedures.
• Recognize and report signs of change in resident condition to charge nurse.
